Alone Part 6 has just been posted!
The Divine Six have managed to relocate the five remaining children of an elite race after hiding them from an evil emperor many years ago. They've been hidden in a small town called New London and the emperor has also managed to locate them. So they're best hope for survival is being brought together and recieving the training they were denied in order to protect themselves. Will they survive? And will they manage to finally destroy the repressive ruler? Find out in Alone.

And here's a small exerpt from the rewritten Part 1:
New London could easily have been a heavily populated, highly urban area of the country. But instead the original settlers decided long ago to use the town as a place where they could disappear. A safe haven of sorts. Their best hope for survival lay in becoming undetectable, invisible to those who knew what they were and where they had fled from. At the time New London was settled, the townspeople had narrowly avoided death at the hands of a dangerous emperor. And now, those same families are still living there, waiting for their opportunity to rise up against the repressive regime which forced them there in the first place.
“Dad?” a young woman asked, entering one of the smaller homes along the road. This woman is Christine Dreyer, daughter of Christopher and the late Lisa Dreyer.
“Yes?” her father replied, looking up from the pictures he was sorting through.
“What are you doing?” she asked.
“Oh…I’m just going through all of these pictures. They’re the one’s your mother took,” Chris says, wiping beads of sweat from his forehead.
“Are you feeling alright? You know the doctor said not to-“ Christine began but her father waved away her concern.
“That doctor doesn’t know anything. It wasn’t a full blown heart attack,” he said and Christine raised an eyebrow.
“Not yet. He said if you’re not careful, it could be,” she said and Christopher waved her comments away again.
“Chrissy, I know how to take care of myself. I’ve been doing it for a long time,” he said and Christine nodded, remembering the accident that took her mother from them years ago.
“Just…don’t outdo yourself, alright?” Chris asked and Christopher nodded.
“I won’t darling. Why are you sitting around this stuffy cardboard box?” he asked and Chris smiled. “You should invite some friends over or go out or something,” her father suggested and Chris raised an eyebrow.
“Trying to get rid of me?” Chris asked and her father’s cheeks flushed with color. “It’s okay Dad. I know you’re not happy about my insisting on moving back in to watch over you. I’m going to go for a walk, sound good? Finish going through those pictures, okay?” Chris asked and her father nodded.
“Thanks love. I’ll be here…cleaning through all of the stuff that doesn’t fit in the attic,” her father said and Chris nodded.
“Sounds like a plan,” Chris said, grabbing her jacket and heading out of the house. Once he heard the latch click into place, Christopher pulled a bottle of prescription medication out of the back of the kitchen drawer and, squinting at the label, swallowed two. Shaking his head vigorously to clear it, he glanced through the pictures.
“Lisa…if only you hadn’t decided to try and gather them together…the emperor never would have found you…And now he knows where they are. And Chris is in danger once again,” Christopher said quietly, running his fingers down the cheek of the woman in the picture. Christopher set the photo down and shook his head.
I'd love if you guys would take a look through and let me know what you think. Thanks!
